If you love patent leather, you will undoubtedly give this colorway of the Air Jordan Spizike a hard look and perhaps even do a quick count of how much cash you’ve got in the bank. While this is a bit much in the department of shiny patent leather for my tastes, these kicks do look pretty decked out.
The Black/Varsity Red-Stealth colorway features a mostly black upper with black elephant print on the toebox and heel. We can also see the stealth grey accents through the heel tab, heel counter and outsole. One element that I do find pretty sick is the design on the red inner lining that displays Mars Blackmon’s signature coke bottle glasses. The Jumpman logo rests on the tongue of the shoe in varsity red and also in black over red on the lace fastener. About 2/3 of this Spizike’s upper is doused in black patent leather, which is offset quite nicely by the clear white vent on the side panel.
The Air Jordan Spizike Black/Varsity Red-Stealth colorway will be invading the House of Hoops on Saturday, June 5, 2010. You can cop yourself a pair for $175. These aren’t quite for me, but as I said, if you love your kicks to be trimmed out in patent leather or just love collecting releases for the Spizike series, stay on top of HOH and the June 5th release date.
