Release Alert (6/12/10): Air Jordan VI Retro White/Varsity Red-Black

Air Jordan VI Retro White/Varsity Red-Black

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Jordan Brand has chosen to yet again, break away from what is past and update what was already great with a simple touch of something new.  The Air Jordan VI Retro White/Varsity Red-Black colorway is a modified version of the OG VI White/Infrared-Black.  What was originally an infrared accent has been replaced by varsity red, which is an adjustment that many avid collectors and sneakerheads alike are still not sold on, quite yet.  These kicks also feature an all leather white upper with a perforated ankle collar and side panels, black tongue/heel pull tabs and an icy clear rubber outsole overlay.  Also, you’ll find a Vis-air bag in the heel with an Air bag unit residing in the forefoot.

The VI is what Michael Jordan was wearing when he captured his very first NBA title against the Los Angeles Lakers in 1991 so you could definitely say that these kicks have a special place in basketball history.

The Air Jordan VI Retro White/Varsity Red-Black colorway will be releasing in two days on June 12, 2010 at your local House of Hoops for a cool $150!  As usual, you’ll want to check with them pretty often to see if anything changes. If you don’t feel like waiting it out, you can cop a pair below!
