East LA Nike Zoom Kobe VI for the City of Angels

If anyone thought that Nike was going to chill out on the colorway indulgence with the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, that would have been wishful thinking.  Would we want them to take a step back in any case?  Hardly not.  Personally, this 'East LA' setup is the sickest edition that I've seen so far.

This particular colorway comes draped in concord, which envelops the entire shoe be it the upper, midsole, tongue, or outsole.  The only color contrast comes in the form of varsity red that paints the Sheath logo on the tongue and outsole, along with Kobe's signature on the external heel cap.  The sockliner and heel region both feature artwork that clearly pays tribute to the city Kobe has led back to the top of the basketball world, Los Angeles.

*UPDATE: The Nike Zoom Kobe VI 'East LA' will be released this Friday, January 28, 2011!  Niketown Los Angeles will give out wristbands tomorrow, January 27th at 8am and the kicks will be dropped at 8am on Friday as well so get there early on both days!!!

Release information for the Nike Zoom Kobe VI 'LA' is still pending, but we will definitely keep you posted!  What do you think about this colorway in the meantime?
