It’s been a wondrous 15-year NBA career for Kobe Bryant.  The life he has lived on and off the court has seen its fair share of trials and tribulations.  For anyone, it can often become easy to forget where everything started, so to speak.  Kobe announced his entrance into the 1996 NBA Draft from the confines of the gymnasium that he had refined his game enough to where he felt confident that he could flourish at the ultimate level – the gym at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

Dating back a few signature pairs, we’ve seen this tribute colorway for Kobe’s kicks, with the most recent being the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Lower Merion’.  This year, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI has been painted in the colors of the Mamba’s alma mater for a fresh new look.  Grey works the lower mesh layers of the upper while silver gives the scales a shimmering quality.  Grey also works the tongue and heel as red hits are dropped through the Swoosh, Lower Merion logo and Sheath logo.  The always delightful milky translucent outsole provides the finishing touch on this tribute PE colorway.

Release information for the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Lower Merion’ is still under wraps, but stay tuned! For now, check out the other sharp colorways below!
*UPDATE: The ‘Lower Merion’ colorway will drop on September 10th!
