It’s been a long road back to the top of the NFL for Michael Vick. Very well documented, we’ve all come to know the journey that he has taken from the time he rose to prominence in 2001 as the top pick of the NFL Draft to the moment he fell into a seemingly bottomless pit in 2007 when he was convicted of multiple crimes involving an illegal dog-fighting operation in Virginia. The bottom line is, he served his time as he most definitely deserved to, with no guarantee whatsoever that he’d ever be able to reclaim a sliver of what used to be. He has since put in the necessary work and effort to ascend back to glory.
Hate him or love him, Michael Vick is one of the most incredible athletes to ever gear up in the NFL. As a natural righty who just happens to throw with his left, Vick has the kind of speed and athleticism that has never been seen in a quarterback prior to him. Whereas before, the major criticism about him was his inability to control the game as a passer, he has now become a true field general – the best that he’s ever been in his career, by far. Michael has cleaned up his life, surrounded himself with the right people and most importantly, has turned all of his focus to football, which is an ultimate treat for us fans.
