Nike has been announcing its new Holiday 2011 series, and one of the ones that caught my eye was the Nike Zoom Meriweather. When I first heard the name I wondered why it was called that, until I realized it was practically a hiking boot. (Meriweather Lewis, get it? At least that’s my best guess.)
Regardless, the Nike Zoom Meriweather is certainly an interesting specimen. It’s almost a hybrid between high-top sneaker and hiking boots. Leave it to Nike to create a pair of kicks that look like sneakers but are built for the mountain.
