The Air Jordan IX White/Black – University Blue colorway was notable for being nearly identical to the White / Black – Dark Powder Blue colorway,save for a slightly different shade of blue.  While this edition was released May 29, 2010, White/Black – Dark Powder Blue was released in 1994.  My own unverified speculation suggests the name change was only academic for the purpose of differentiating the shoes, and any color differences were due to photography or aging materials.
