“Kobe” is a four letter word. No, really, it is.
This visual abomination could be so bad it’s good. The Nike Zoom Kobe VII “What the Kobe” looks to mash up a variety of styles that we’ve seen on the shoe into what I can only describe as an attention whore’s dream-come-true. It has a little Dart Frog, it has a little Cheetah, and just the faintest dusting of that mushroom Jefferson Airplane was talking about in “White Rabbit”.
The good news is, if you eat a bowl of Fruit Loops and throw up all over them, they’ll pretty much look the same. Then again, if we see them in the Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs, maybe they’ll sufficiently distract Oklahoma City from that conference title they’re eyeing.
