The Kobe Prelude 8 will release this Saturday 1/25. The Prelude 8 is one of the most anticipated of the whole Prelude Pack due to the success and popularity of the current Kobe 8 System shoe.
The multi-colored design has been labeled as a “Reflection” theme signifying the look back at Kobe’s previous year. The upper resembles a view of a reflection in water, highlighted by a green glow swoosh and silver heel counter. The sole is a red that fades to purple, a reminder of the Laker’s purple uniform color. The 2012-13 season was one of the most challenging and critical years of Kobe’s career, ending in injury, but not without success as the Lakers pulled together to qualify for a playoff run.
