[new_royalslider id=”141″]
Kendall Marshall and Nick Young both went to their collection to bring out shoes that haven’t been seen on court. In case you missed it, the Lakers teammates had called each other out for a friendly competition. Friday night, Nick Young had brought out his Air Jordan “Doernbecher” 2s, as Marshall donned the not yet released Air Jordan XI “Green Snakeskin” lows. As we’ve seen with Marshall’s Instagram, last week he had recieved his shipment from Jordan Brand which included anticipated releases such as: the “Carmine” VI, “Concord” XI low, “Green Snakeskin” XI low, and the “Baron” IX.

In honor of the NBA’s Green Week, they had decided to wear sneakers with green in the colorway. As we all know, the Lakers’ team colors do not involve any green. Apparently, some of the Marshall’s Twitter followers had not been happy with his choice.

Marshall had taken it to Twitter to respond to the critics:

Unfortunately playing for the Lakers puts players who wear Air Jordans at a disadvantage. Unless it’s a Player Edition, Jordans don’t usually come out in purple and gold. Anyways, Young and Marshall had good intentions with promoting Green Week by wearing their green shoes. These critics simply need to lighten up and enjoy the variety of kicks on court.
