Nike SB are no strangers when it comes to releasing sneakers coming in limited quantities. This time they have out done themselves by releasing a quickstrike dunk that was only limited overseas until now. We are talking about the Nike SB QS Beijing Dunk Low. There are details of confirmation that these will now release here in the U.S.

The detailing and quality of the Beijing dunks are immaculate, as they should be since they are quickstrike releases. The sneaker is covered in a material that is supposed to resemble concrete. We are unsure if it is a faded looking suede or it could also be the grip tape material that Nike SB once used back in the day on the legendary Nike Dunk Pro B Alpha Numeric “Lightning”. Either way, the concrete look is to resemble the old stone walls of the Beijing Imperial City which lies inside the Forbidden City where the emperors of the Ming to the Qing dynasty resided.

The tongue will feature the lion door knocker which is currently present on the doors of the palace. The rest of the shoe is set off with gold and red accents. On the insoles of the sneakers – there are the Chinese characters “HuTong” which literally means alley, which are the main streets used to get around the city.

If you couldn’t get these dope shoes before from overseas, worry not as these will be dropping this Saturday. September 13, 2014 is the U.S launch date scheduled for these dope dunks. Don’t pay the resell prices just yet as the Nike SB Dunk Low “Beijing” as they will hit select Nike SB retailers.
