adidas has done a phenomenal job with their signature athletes. In attempts to catch Nike, they signed John Wall, Derrick Rose, and Damian Lillard. All three are poised to lead their team in the postseason. Lillard received his first signature shoe this season and has not been a disappointment. The guard from Weber State has had many phenomenal colorways in what many call the best-looking adidas shoe.
adidas offers the Gauntlet, which is an AAU tournament to give exposure to the brightest rising stars. The D Lillard 1 will receive the Gauntlet treatment. On the shoes, metallic silver upper is hit with black accents. The Tin Man would be the freshest robot out, if he got his hands on these.

adidas today unveiled the D Lillard 1 adidas Gauntlet edition, a special PE designed specifically for players competing in adidas’ premier high school basketball events this summer.
The D Lillard 1 adidas Gauntlet edition features a metallic silver synthetic upper with black and gray trim and accents. The TECHFIT tongue and inner booty, translucent outsole and pull tab feature a black and gray graphic print, while “adidas Gaunlet” is printed on the sockliner. The adidas Gauntlet edition will see action beginning this weekend with the adidas Gauntlet Dallas where more than 150 of the top 15, 16 and 17U teams in the country will vie for the chance to compete at the adidas Gauntlet Finale in Atlanta, July 10 and be crowned best AAU team of the season.
