Manny Pacquiao’s Top 5 Nike Trainers

On May 2nd, the world will be watching the biggest fight of the century. In Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao will take on Floyd Mayweather.  Both fighters will eventually land in the Hall-of-Fame, but only one of them will become victorious this Saturday.  Manny Pacquiao launched his first signature sneaker with Nike back in 2009, the Nike Air Trainer 1 LTD.  Since then, Nike has released thirteen more Pacquiao sneakers despite his the hump in his career around 2011-2012 following two consecutive losses to Bradley and Marquez.  The Swoosh has not released a shoe for Pacman in the last three years.  His last sneaker never even made it to release as it went straight to the outlets.

Despite the lack of merchandise for the fighting pride of the Philippines, Nike has managed to release new gear for the fans this time around.  You would think Nike would come up with something special for the biggest fight of Manny’s career. I think Nike is waiting for the results to see if he’s still worth an investment.  Regardless, I decided to break down my top 5 Nike Manny Pacquiao trainers to date since we may never see one again.

5. Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low x EA Sports “Fight Night” PE

Growing up, I was a huge fan of ‘Fight Night’.  Having friends over and trying to hit each other with haymakers accounted for many hours on the Playstation.  This was a great colorway for the very comfortable Zoom Huaraches as it displayed a clean red upper with just the right amount of gold hits.  What keeps this shoe unique from the rest of his trainers is the EA logo displayed on the tongue and the unique gum outsole.  If only Nike decided to make it a wider general release, maybe I could have gotten a chance to cop.
