Damian Lillard may be out of the Playoffs but adidas is still ramping new colorways for his sneaker. Lillard is from Oakland, California but seems to really enjoy Portland. His first signature model is bringing a Portland feel to the upper. Apparently, the upper is inspired from the distinct and unique carpet of PDX (code for Portland’s airport). Not surprising, the Portland area is known for its hipsters and wild trends.
The connection is real, as the tongue reads “PDX Carpet”. Currently they are set to retail for $125 on May 23, 2015. When these release, we expect someone to drive to the airport and to take the theme photo for Instagram.
