Flagship WSS Store in Downtown Los Angeles | Tour and Thoughts

First off, erase everything you know about WSS, formerly Warehouse Shoe Sale, from your memory. Simply put, they’ve evolved. Originally thought as a place you can get kicks for the family, they’re now bigger and better than ever. On the corner of 7th and Union, the flagship store resides in the heart of Los Angeles. Only a few minutes away from Staples Center, it is conveniently located off the 110 freeway.

First thing that comes to mind about the location is downtown. That’s negative connotation to traffic and bad parking. With the amount of people in Los Angeles and the amount of drives, traffic can’t be solved, but WSS helps a bit with the parking facet. They have their own parking lot. In a decently sized lot, they’re much better than the usual LA lots and its free! The entrance from the lot is actually the backdoor.

Off to a great start already, the store is simply enormous. The first notable thing is the Jordan selection. Sneakerheads will love the 23 Steps to Immortality exhibit. That’s what we’ll call it, an exhibit. Featuring the signature shoes from Air Jordan you can find the Chicago colors from models 1 – 23. For those wondering, only a few pairs came from CDP packs.

Jordan Brand and WSS made sure to show love to their signed athletes. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin get some love. Like we mentioned earlier, Staples Center is nearby and the houses both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Clippers.

WSS has been selling Jordans for years and is a popular location to try and grab the newest release. While Jordan Brand has been releasing so many pairs, if you’re lucky you can snag a pair off the shelf. Jordan Brand allowed Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul to drop a player edition in the Air Jordan 1. Rather than paying the $130 retail price, WSS had great sizes remaining for $99.99.

This specific store features two stories with the work boots, soccer gear, and discounts/bargains sitting on top. From the top floor, the view is not bad with a mixture of classic architecture and a modern feel.

Although it’s not a gigantic section, WSS does a great job bringing in a realistic feel for the soccer boots and accessories with an imitation soccer field turf. Taking a quick look through the kicks, women and kids could easily find themselves a steal. There were a bunch of shoes and sizes.
