Shiekh Shoes DTLA Grand Opening | Event Recap

First off, Shiekh Shoe’s grand opening party was on and cracking. The party ambiance was looming with ill beats and plenty of treys of horderves and drinks to go around. The details were on point, from the layout of the beautiful new downtown LA location to the 23 display standing at 6-foot-6, the same exact height as the G.O.A.T. himself, Shiekh has it going for them.

In the heart of downtown, the store resides on Broadway between 7th and 8th by the old Rialto Theater that has been transformed into Urban Outfitters. This specific location will field higher end shoes and yes, that means they will get more Air Jordan releases than the other stores.

The store also carries a wide variety of sneaker and clothing brands. Sneaker wise they carry Nike, Jordans, adidas, Puma, Vans, Brandblack, New Balance, Asics, etc. As for the streetwear and clothing they carry brands from Hall of Fame, Crooks and Castle through Levis as well as Nike and adidas brand sportswear.

While the restock will becoming for weeks to come, the grand opening party unlocked the vault and some classics were out to play. There was a wide range of past releases from retro Jordans to recent QuickStrikes like the Nike “Sharpie” Penny pack.

The Cool Grey XI were the hottest shoes out and they were gone quickly. The Cool Greys came from 2011, as the box, retail price point, and yellowing suggested. On top of the 2011 classics, a slew of random retros were available to purchase such as the “Military” and “Fire Red” IV just to name a couple.

Influencers, bloggers, designers, media members, and invited guests all had a great time. Grey’s Anatomy’s star Jessie Williams also came through to join the festivities rocking his Yeezy 350 Boosts. This was a wonderful event as the setup of the boutique suggests. With a great selection of sneakers and clothing brands you should have no problems walking out the store with something in your hand.

Stay tuned as the weeks go to celebrate their grand opening they will be dropping heaters as some are scheduled releases and some will be silent drops. If you’re in the downtown area, be sure to stop by check them out at 745 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90014.
