Nike Running ‘Dos Angeles’ Collection

Nike Free 5.0

Los Angeles, the city of dreams. Los Angeles, the city with endless diversity and a beautiful layer of smog. LA is the city where many dream to be.

Nike took a spin on the City of Angels and came up with the Dos Angeles Collection. The package consists of four different models, all in the black and white getup. The four models includes the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32, Air Zoom Wildhorse 3, Air Max 2015, and Free 5.0. All models come in men’s and women’s sizing too.

Nike’s concept behind the newest running collection:

TWO SIDES TO EVERY CITY

Whether you run the hills or boulevards, the Nike Dos Angeles Collection matches your lifestyle. The collection is inspired by those who run Hollywood, finding the balance between sweat and style. It’s for those who embrace the energy, but enjoy their peace and quiet. Those who dream big, but start small. Whatever your pace, wherever your place, you can find it in Dos Angeles.

As a resident of the Los Angeles County for the last 18 years, Nike got the concept right and hit nail on the head. Anybody can come with a dream and make it a reality in LA.

You’ve probably already seen the Dos Angeles Collection sent to various members of the sneaker community. Our friends, Jacques Slade(@kustoo) and Juan Martinez (@ezyville) got their pairs of the Dos Angeles in the form of the Air Max 2015.

Thanks to Nike LA and Nike Running, we were blessed with a pair in a different variation. With a pair of Nike Free 5.0 ‘Dos’, we picked up another component of the pack. The shoes feature an asymmetrical two tone engineered mesh upper. The outer medial side features white while the lateral side is almost all black. The Swooshes on both sides are 3M and reflect in the light.

Nike Free 5.0 Dos

The Free 5.0 comes with the improved Free outsole with Hexagonal flex grooves to allow a natural feel hence the “Barefoot Ride” that all 5.0 model promote. Surprisingly light, they weigh in at 8 ounces in a men’s size 10! After the initial wear, the most noticeable thing is the height of the shoe. The back of the feet doesn’t feel hindered. The reason behind that is the 8mm offset between the heel and forefoot. With such a low profile, the shoes give off a natural feel.
