The Nike Kobe XI has been seen by many as Kobe’s farewell sneakers. After starting wth adidas, Kobe signed a deal with Nike that would forever morph the sneaker industry.
The shoes were reportedly scheduled to drop in January but surprisingly enough no pictures ever surfaced. In this purple and grade school model, these are the Kobe XI.

This particular shoe matches the color way of a pair scheduled to release at the end of February, the “Hypergrape” While Kobe has faced catastrophic injuries in he past few seasons, the rumors of moving up the Kobe may be related to his aging body.
Looking a lot like the Kobe 8, 9, , and X, these feature a familiar look. The red Achilles stitch returns on the left heel. Don’t be shocked to see Nike continue the trend of releasing a high top Elite version either.
