This year has been so good for Kobe Bryant and Nike Basketball. Their relationship has been great through the years and it has shown a lot on court performance. However, over the last couple years, the colors for the models aren’t very enticing as most of them end up at outlet and clearance stores.
Thankfully, the Kobe 11 model has been one of the best color block and executions in years. That list will continue as it including this new Carpe Diem colorway.

Finishing at the number 2 spot from our Top 20 Kobe list, the Carpe Diem initially debuted on the Kobe 4. The Carpe Diem is back in full Lakers fashion. I wasn’t too sure about this as the photo looks a little awkward (keep in mind that these are not official Nike photos). At first, I thought this was a fake colorway for the shoe, but it looks dead on. Similar to the original model, you got a grid-likepattern on the inner lining and translucent outsole. For me, I wish they would have added the Carpe Diem logo on the tongue, but it’s okay, you can’t have it all right?
The Nike Kobe 11 “Carpe Diem” is scheduled to drop May 21, for $160.00 USD. Remember, these are the Engineered Mesh (EM) version, not the Elite. It would have been great to see these in Elite form, but to be honest, these look great and in my opinion, the EM version feels a lot better than the Elite.
