Nike Basketball is bringing out the rest of the PG 1 colors as he makes his way onto the court in Oklahoma City.  As the newest member of the Thunder, Paul George and league MVP Russel Westbrook aim to finish strong this upcoming season.  Whether they’ll be a dynamic duo or not remains to be seen.  But before we get into next season, Nike looks to drop a hot summer shoe for the longtime fisherman PG this upcoming weekend.

This Saturday, Nike plans to release a clean White and Black colorway for the PG 1.  Receiving a fresh theme called Checkmate, it features a predominantly White upper with a simple Black swoosh.  A very neutral model, for those who aren’t into vibrant colors for the court.  The inspiration of the sneaker may have something to do with Chess as there is no news on the inspiration behind the colorway.

You might want to stack up on some shoe cleaners in case you get stepped on during wear.  Watch our video below to view our sneaker cleaning sessions thanks to Reshoevn8r.

If you plan on purchasing this PG 1 Checkmate, readers should not worry about missing out as these will be widely available.

The Nike PG 1 Checkmate drops this Saturday, August 5, 2017 for $110.00 USD.
