With a little under half of the NBA season done, we have seen half of the major blockbuster trade that occurred between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics in Kyrie Irving. The main other piece of that trade, Isaiah Thomas, has been sidelined so far this season with a hip injury that he suffered last season in Boston, just prior to the playoffs. During what would become his final season in Boston I.T. opted to wear the Nike Kobe A.D. for most of the year and he will most likely continue with this upcoming release of his own iteration of the new Kobe model.
The “Mighty I.T.” Kobe A.D. is done up in the Cleveland Cavaliers wine and gold, with a white midsole and a mixture of a gum and translucent outsole. Some interesting aspects on this sneaker are the miniaturized gold Nike swoosh on the medial and lateral side of the sneaker symbolizing Isaiah Thomas’ smaller stature. Also on the rear of the sneaker are Isaiah Thomas’ initials right above the Kobe logo.
The Nike Kobe A.D. “Mighty I.T.” will be dropping tomorrow Saturday, January 1, 2018 for $150.00 USD.
