Championship Footwear: Nike Zoom Kobe V Blowout Special Part IV

Nike Zoom Kobe V 'Playoff Pack'

The 2010 NBA Playoffs did not disappoint in terms of subplots and storylines for the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.  Andrew Bynum’s knee, Pau Gasol’s toughness, Derek Fisher’s defense and of course, the ailing body of Kobe Bryant all provided the Lakers’ faithful with plenty to discuss and debate during the days off between games.

One certainty however, was what kicks the Mamba would be wearing on the road during another postseason run to the title.

The Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Playoff Pack’ kicks debuted at the Ford Center when the Lakers headed to Oklahoma City to battle the youthful and ferverous Thunder squad led by 2009-2010 scoring champ, Kevin Durant.

Cold-blooded killer.

Joining the black upper are Varsity Purple and Del Sol Yellow, which we can see on the diamond print design running along the eyestay and toe box.  Purple also highlights the the heel/ankle collar and the tongue in a glossier finish.  Yellow outlines the Swoosh while traces of silver can be seen on the Sheath logo and Kobe’s signature on the heel cap.  The finisher is undoubtedly the clear rubber outsole that only makes the traction and grip of the shoe that much more potent.

Kobe rocked the ‘POP’ colorway of his ZKB V shoe all the way through the Western Conference Finals and who could forget Game 6 at Phoenix when he successfully drilled two late daggers with defenders hanging all over him to crush the Suns?

ASSASSIN.
