With the 2010-2011 NBA season set to tip off tomorrow night in Boston, Los Angeles and Portland, we are not only heading into what is sure to be a year of incredible basketball at its highest level, but a whole new season of fresh kicks and colorways. Leading the way will undoubtedly be the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, successor to the Nike Zoom Kobe V, which, needless to say, are some enormous shoes to fill – no pun intended, really.
The upper itself, dressed abundantly in the mock reptile skin, is mostly white with concord purple accents making appearances by way of the heel-cup, inner lining and midsole. The Swoosh and Sheath are black while the outsole is doused in white. Aside from the special Kobe code on the outrigger and “VENOMENON” etching on the toe tip, there aren’t too many details that jump out at you on this shoe in general, but we can already tell that Nike is going to go just as crazy in pumping out a tidal wave of colorways for the Kobe VI, which may perhaps be the shoe that the Mamba wins his sixth championship ring in, tying none other than, his Airness, Michael Jordan.
It would be awfully nice if the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Concord’ was making its way to us sooner than later, but we are still months away from the first release, which will be the ‘Del Sol’ edition so it will be quite a waiting game. Excited yet? We sure are!
