Nike Air Max LeBron VIII ‘South Beach’

Nike Air Max LeBron VIII 'South Beach'

With all the anticipation surrounding the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII, we now know for certain that the ‘South Beach’ (*update) aka ‘Pre Heat’ colorway, inspired in part by the classic TV show, Miami Vice, will drop at the country’s newest House of Hoops in Dadeland Mall in South Beach and select retail spots this Saturday, October 16, 2010. It’s always interesting to see how a change of team can affect a superstar’s kicks colorways as we see here. This ‘South Beach’ (*update) ‘Pre Heat’ build is without question, the most exotic colorway any of LeBron’s sneakers have ever seen.

The upper is absolutely drenched in a bright pastel teal green. Subtle, yet strong hot pink accents appear through a few eyelets, lion eyes, signature on the heel and lining of the tongue. There’s also black contrasts seen above the full-length Air Max unit, Swoosh, tongue and eyestay. My favorite element of this colorway is undoubtedly the translucent outsole that’s even got a touch of light green to itself. You’ve gotta wonder whether this ‘South Beach’ (*update) ‘Pre Heat’ edition is a sign of things to come for the LeBron VIII shoe because to be frank, Nike has been rather withdrawn in terms of producing a wide array of specialty colorways for LBJ’s kicks collection in the last couple of years.

Again, this Nike Air Max LeBron VIII will be released this Saturday, October 16, 2010! Check with your local retailers to see if they will be getting any pairs in! However, we can also expect a more wide release in November as well for this colorway.

*These are now available at House of Hoops locations across the U.S.!
