If you ask Kevin Durant, he’d probably tell you that he’d gladly sacrifice his back-t0-back NBA scoring titles in exchange for more success in the playoffs. This guy is a hard competitor, but also one of the most humble superstars you will ever see who wants to win. That’s why he didn’t make a big fuss at all about his contract extension with the OKC Thunder a summer ago, only putting it out to the world lightly through Twitter. But, lucky for us, he is the reigning repeat scoring champion, meaning that we get to watch him do an awful lot of work every night he suits up.
A few months ago, we saw the Nike Zoom KD III ‘Scoring Title’ Away, but today we’ll take a look at the Home colorway. The upper’s base is a nice bright white, complimented by blue design patterns on the side panel and “kd” logo on the tongue. The Swoosh and heel feature hits of orange, but the sickest part of this shoe is…none other than…the cool, icy blue outsole! I’m not sure if it’s the way that it blends with the rest of the shoe, but it just looks ridiculously fresh on these kicks. I’ll even say that it’s sexy! As with the Away colorway, we can also see references to Kevin’s past such as “Barry Farms,” which is the court where he unleashed over 60 points during a summer league game when he was younger – pretty much like what he did at Rucker Park recently!
The Nike Zoom KD III ‘Scoring Title’ Home will drop tomorrow, August 20th! The Nike Vault in Downtown L.A. will have this limited release available for sure, but check your local Nike retailers to see if they’ll have these as well.
