Last week Nike revealed the Elite series of premium basketball shoes across the LeBron, Kobe, and the Hyperdunk lines. With all three models sharing a “Home” and “Away” color scheme with hints of Metallic Gold, no additional colorways have surfaced since. Until now.
This LeBron 9 Elite features a dominant Wolf Grey upper with hints of Mint Candy on the tongue, swoosh, and heel tab. New Green is displayed on the midsole, air bubble, and laces. The bright Pink Flash finishes off this “Miami” look on the mid-foot harness, inner lining with carbon fiber panel extending from the heel to the mid-foot. This Elite version is made to protect LeBron’s 240 lb. frame when he goes against top contenders in the Eastern Conference in the NBA Playoffs.
Not only does the sneaker receive an upgrade, but so does the packaging. The LeBron box will have a carbon fiber pattern with gold hologram branding. It also comes with an extra set of pink laces for those who want to stand out even more.
Expect this South Beach esque colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 Elite to drop June 2, 2012 for $250.00 USD.
