Just yesterday we had our first look at the new Varsity Maize LeBron 9 Elite from Nike. Given the recent photos we’ve seen of the Miami inspired “South Beach” LeBron 9 Elite colorway, many are wondering if Nike will release both pairs in limited quantities. Regardless, both shoes have become quite popular, and many are already planning to buy multiple pairs.
Varsity Maize colorway dominates the upper, which is contrasted by hints of red on the heel tab, laces, and toe bumper. The LeBron 9 Elite offers a softer midsole and outsole offering more comfort and smoother ride than the original model. Carbon fiber from the heel to midfoot provides more support and lockdown along the footbed of the shoe. This minimizes rollovers and ankle sprains during play.
