The sneakers in the Nike Elite series are touted as the top performance basketball shoes ever created, Sporting ultra-premium materials like carbon fiber and kevlar, two of the three Elites are from Nike signature athletes: Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Then there is the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Elite, tailor made for the rest of the guys not good enough to get their name on a shoe.
Like the Zoom Kobe VII Elite and the LeBron 9 Elite, the Hyperdunk Elite will sport both Home and Away colorways. The Home colorway is dominated by an all White upper with Gold highlights, a carbon fiber heel, and a translucent sole, while Away has an all Black upper with Gold highlights, the same carbon fiber heel, and a Black sole. Both also utilize Pro Combat cushioning on the collar.
Noteable is that we have not seen any additional colorways for the Kobe VII Elite or Hyperdunk Elite, while we’ve seen both South Beach and Varsity Maize editions of the LeBron 9 Elite.
