Mr. Eddie Huang of BaoHaus fame and Vice TVs “Fresh Off the Boat” show has officially entered the shoe game with the BaoHaus/Fila collaboration. For those who have yet to read Huang’s best seller, also entitled “Fresh Off the Boat”, Huang’s affairs with street wear and the shoe game were an important part of his youth and grew into business ventures in adulthood. He attributes his love for shoes to the Fire Red Jordan Vs which came out in his school days. Huang also confessed love for Nike’s Penny models in his autobio. With guest appearances on cooking shows, success on his own travel/food show, and an upcoming TV show based on his Taiwanese/American upbringing, Mr. Huang took another step forward in a collaboration between Fila and his flagship restaurant, BaoHaus of NYC, properly nicknamed the “Bao Beach”.
Fila’s The Cage model has never looked better in a yellow suede with red and blue highlights. It has a Taiwanese flag on the tongue with the initials “FOB” underneath. Huang posted a preview pick on Instagram and announced a raffle contest for 5 pairs which you can enter when you buy a bao this Friday.
