Nike Kobe 9
After suffering a terrible Achilles injury in the Kobe 8s, Nike went back to the drawing board and developed a shoe with strong stability for Kobe and so they came up with the Kobe 9. Since it is a performance shoe certain colorways have been a hit or miss within the sneaker community. However with its innovative design and technology this can pave way for the approach of designing future sneakers.

History
In the NBA’s 2012-2013 season, Kobe Bryant suffered an Achilles injury while playing against the Golden State Warriors. Kobe had gotten the Achilles injury with wearing the Kobe 8. Nike had to go and develop something better, sturdier and comfortable without harming Kobe’s performance.

The Kobe 9s’ main technology is the breathable Flyknit, light-weight Flywire, and comfortable Lunarlon. With the combination of these gives Kobe the perfect conditions without having to change up his game even though he was unable to wear it on court during the season they were released.
Nike came out with two models of the Kobe 9, at first they had released the high version but it wasn’t extremely receptive by the public as much as Nike had liked so then they came out with the low version a few months after. The Kobe 9 is one of many shoes that are going to be considered a launch pad for a new wave of generations of how shoes will be made.
