We can pretty much all agree that Michael has achieved many great things in the course of his career. Well in one particular year was a great jump off of this long path of great legacy, and this was in 1987. In 1987 Michael Jordan was accomplishing great things; he had gotten his first scoring title which would then continue on for another 6 years and also he won his first NBA slam dunk competition during ’87 as well which was most famous for his take off from the free throw line dunk. But who was responsible for providing the footwear for Jordan while he accomplished these great achievements? Back in 1986, sneaker designer Bruce Kilgore, put in a lot of effort to come up with the Air Jordan 2 design that made it possible for Jordan to solidify his “free throw line” as possibly his most iconic dunk ever.

Premium craftsmanship was the hallmark of the original Air Jordan 2, designed by Bruce Kilgore back in 1986. The legacy of the Air Jordan 2 continues with this retro, which clearly evokes the original, with a classic White/Black-Varsity Red colorway, premium upper materials and the beloved Wings logo – Nike

Well this Air Jordan 2 “White Varsity Red” has retro’d once before back in 2008 in the CDP pack paired with the Jordan 21s and will make another run of appearance this year. The silhouette and the color scheme pretty much remains the same. It sports an all-white upper body and midsole. It has varsity red accents on various parts of the shoe such as the Wings logo, inner sock lining, and the back heel as well as part of the back split of the bottom sole.
