Being extremely fortunate, I will be the live eyes and ears for everyone who keeps up with Kicksologists. Even though today was the second day for the NBA’s Vegas Summer League, it was the first day that I had attended. First, I must say the Thomas & Mack Center and the Cox Pavilion are extremely beautiful sports complexes. The Thomas & Mack is the larger of the two. To help those who have never been, the Thomas & Mack can be compared to an NBA arena while the Cox Pavilion is closer to an awfully rich private high school gym.

The first game I had caught was the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns. Justin Holiday caught an air ball and reversed home a game winning layup. Holiday the younger brother of Jrue was wearing the KD 6 “Christmas”. Though he didn’t play in today’s contest, 5’7” guard Kiwi Gardner had his Air Jordan “True Blue” 3s on. Those who stole the show were players on the Suns bench. They were the Morris twins. Of course they weren’t playing but it didn’t stop them from wearing their Jordans. Markieff was seen in the Air Jordan 7 Premio “Bin” while Marcus wore the Air Jordan 2s. The other notable kicks spotted were the newly released KD 7 “35,000 degrees” and the Nike LeBron 11 “Everglades”.

The next game had involved the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets. Mr. Beard also known as James Harden had come to show the Rockets his support. He was spotted hanging with the Morris twins in his Nike “Red October” Air Yeezy 2. I had noticed there were many players rocking the KD 6 including former Wildcat, Nick Johnson. Shabazz Napier also came ready to play in his Nike 2014 Hyperdunk.

While slipping away at the half, I went to the Thomas & Mack to catch the Utah Jazz take on the Philadelphia 76ers. Australian mystery man Dante Exum was seen in the adidas Crazy Light. This game featured a lot of love for the Kobe Bryant signature shoes. There were a few players donning the navy pair of Kobe 8s TB, Elijah Millsaps of the Sixers wore the Kobe 9 EM “Solars”, and former Florida Guard Scottie Wilbekin had the Kobe 9 Elite High “Hero” on.

After an exciting first day, I am looking forward to the next day. Contact us @Kicksologists on Twitter and Instagram if you have any questions or if you want us to look out for something. Don’t forget to hashtag #TeamKicksologist when you post photos of your kicks!
