Sport Blue was once an untouchable colorway with Michael Jordan’s shoes. While it had originated and stayed exclusively to the Air Jordan 6; in 2014 nothing is untouchable. The Air Jordan line has taken the liberty to retro those Sport Blue 6s. While those are slated to release towards the end of August, the Air Jordan 3 is a warm up and will take on the new Sport Blue colorway.
From a simple analysis, the Sport Blue 3s look a lot like the Black Cement colorway but with a few differences. The changes include a sport Blue outsole, Jumpman logo, lacelocks and midsole. Like the Black Cements, the upper is will be composed of black leather and the elephant print will come in grey (wolf-grey this time) around the toe and ankle areas. A big change on the 3s model is the “icy” outsole with come with a dark blue tint.
Other Sport Blue colorways to release will include the AJKO 1, Jordan 6, and Jordan 14. The Retro 3s will release with a $170 USD price tag and will release as a general release. As we all know, general releases are just as hard to purchase when the hype is looming. Lucky celebs like Jay Z and DJ Khaled have already been spotted in the kicks. Another famous face spotted in the Sport Blue 3s is the Clippers’ floor general Chris Paul.
