Monkey Time is a up and coming brand that is a label off of the United Arrows LTD brand. They have collaborated with Asics on the Gel-Lyte V model and dubbing them the “Lights and Shadows”. To go with the theme, Monkey Time has cleverly used a strong noir theme in playing with their campaign. Noir films are mostly related to old black and white crime fiction films that involve shady detectives and sleazy settings. For a commercial idea they even filmed their own little noir film to showcase the kicks. The black and white plays a role with the lights and shadows when filming these movies. Of course, the sneakers followed the similar manner.
The Monkey Time x Asiscs Gel-Lyte V “Lights and Shadows looks to be in all white and black leather mixed with black and white neoprene material. The most notable feature on the shoe has to be the white speckle back midsole to just give it that extra pop.
