Under Armour Files For Steph Curry Trademarks

Under Armour is reaping the benefits of having a superstar. They’re loving it. Although it would’ve really helped to also boast Kevin Durant, signing Stephen Curry is a great consolation prize.

The reigning MVP is on the verge of winning his first championship. That all begins with Game 1 on Thursday in Oakland against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While Curry handles the hardwood, Under Armour is doing everything they can to make sure they can expand on the Curry name.

Darren Rovell of ESPN reports UA’s actions of filing for trademarking more popular affiliated phrases:

Other trademarks filed that same week included “Fall Back,” “The Game’s New Creative Genius,” “The Patron Saint of Underdogs,” “Baby-Faced Assassin” and “The League’s Most Unguardable Player.”

Curry is definitely the newest poster boy of the NBA. With his picture perfect family, handwork, and humbleness, he’s doing everything right. Right now, the Curry apparel features the “Charged by Belief” slogan. When these phrases are UA exclusive, you’ll be seeing them on apparel, footwear, headwear and eyewear.
