Air Jordan Retro 1 Chicago | Kicks On Deck

Nike Air or Jordan Jumpman?  The people have spoken and Jordan Brand has listened…

One of the biggest releases of the year, the Air Jordan Retro 1 in the original Chicago colorway launched this past weekend.  Retailing for $160, Jordan Brand decided to retro this model once again with a different box as well as the beloved, Nike Air back on the tongue.  Many purists need that Nike Air branding on their Jays.  Not because of value, but the mere fact that this is what a retro is and should be.  Great job JB.

These Chicago 1’s were hyped and limited.  A lot more demand than supply.  This release was definitely limited and it showed.  A lot of my friends couldn’t get their hands on these locally, especially because Nike Store wasn’t able to launch online.  Due to bots, Nike postponed their online release to a later time.  Until then, enjoy this new episode of Kicks On Deck on the Chi 1’s.  Don’t worry, I didn’t make the video long at all.

I showcased the quality and how the leather is quite nice on this pair.  Craftsmanship is also very nice.  The sneakers came unlaced in the packaging as it was a nod to the old days when you had to lace up your own Jordans.  Comfort wise, Jordan 1’s are minimal. They’re not a good shoe to stand in for long periods, but for going out for some errands, to the movies, or just to the mall, these Chi 1’s are a good look.  Pants, shorts, joggers, sweats, it all works, you gotta love the versatility.

Anyway,  I doubt these will retro again anytime soon (or as logic says) so make sure to cop on Nike.com whenever they decide to launch these online.  If you haven’t gotten these yet, stay tuned here on Kicksologists for updates on the Chicago AJ 1 release from Nike.com.
