Andrew Wiggins took the Rookie of the Year Award after an impressive individual season. The same can’t be said for the team as the Minnesota Timberwolves went 16-66. At least they claimed the first overall pick for this 2014-15 NBA Draft. His career began as a Cleveland Cavalier but that quickly ended as the Cavs shipped him over to Minnesota for Kevin Love.

Since 2000, only five other top picks have won the award. It looks like adidas is sold on the Canadian born star and will continue to honor his roots. When he won the ROY, adidas dropped a colorway which honored Wiggins journey to the NBA.

Wiggins’ next PE release is a colorway that resembles the T’Wolves and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Wiggins’ home town hockey team. A white and blue Primeknit upper is contrasted with a grey midsole and translucent outsole. With Under Armour rising, adidas definitely has to step up. The Andrew Wiggins “AW” logo can be found on the tongue with the leaf in the middle of the A.
