Jordan Brand went ahead and spurned all the rumors. They dropped a tweet with an actual release date for September:

Looking like a tight release, there may not be many pairs to be sold. The guys over at INRSL were in Toronto and caught a line forming at the OVO store on Dundas Street West. The campers believe that Toronto will grab the second launch of the kicks before the official drop.
The OVO pop up shop in Los Angeles besides Undefeated randomly dropped the Air Jordan X “OVO” and made the locals regret not going. It looks like the owl version of the Jordan X’s have a release date. According to Dino Hatfield of Balt Sneaker Show, the shoes could be dropping on August 1:

That would be the perfect time as it coincides with Drake’s Toronto OVOFEST dates. The retail price tag on the Jordan Xs will be $225 USD. Yes, that’s correct and not a typo, they will retail for $225.
With a bit of a Linen X feel, these are champagne gold with white accents. The outsoles are translucent with a sparkly gold touch. The OVO is represented on the bottom as well as the owl on the insoles.
