Around this time of year we get these images of the upcoming December release of the Jordan 11. Jordan Brand drops the popular retro 11 model for its fans like last years Space Jam editions. For the first time, it is rumored that we will be receiving two renditions of arguably the best model of the line. Today, we have a first look at the Gym Red 11’s that Carmelo Anthony wore in 2014 for his 30th birthday.
The shoe is pretty linear with no fancy colors. Gym Red is dressed on the ballistic upper with a white midsole and translucent outsole. The blue tint looks to return to the modern retro model as it did once before. Instead of a white Jumpman like earlier photos, the branding is now black.
Earlier photos had the model looking like the previous silhouette. Jordan Brand changed the patent leather cut on last years Space Jams whereas these have that same shape. This shape is a lot closer to the original mold when it was first released to the public. So OG collectors will welcome these to their closets with open arms.
Finally releasing after all these years, the Air Jordan Retro 11 ‘Gym Red’ drops December 16, 2017 for $220.00 USD at select retailers.
