The Nike Kyrie 3 Bruce Lee or ‘Mamba Mentality’ will makes its to retailers this weekend.
Arguably the biggest Nike Basketball release this year, the Kyrie 3 Bruce Lee is anticipated by many basketball enthuisasts including the large Kobe Bryant community. For years, the fans of the Mamba have been waiting for a full-fledge Bruce Lee model, but it turns out, Kyrie will carry that torch.
Back when Kyrie Irving was a senior, the new Boston Celtic wore the sneakers and has been his favorite sneaker since.
Bruce Lee’s famous “Always be yourself. Express yourself. Have faith in yourself” quote has had a strong impact on both Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant. Lee’s philosophies have helped Bryant and Irving reach their highest potential both on and off the court. For Kyrie, mamba mentality first struck at the age of 17 when he laced up the Bruce Lee-inspired Zoom Kobe 5 at a Nike Extravaganza in California.
Celebrating the moment and his appreciation for Bryant and Lee, the theme is revisited with the new KYRIE 3 Mamba Mentality. A tour yellow and black colorway references the Zoom Kobe 5 and pays tribute to Lee’s trademark colors. Four red slash marks on the forefoot further connect to Lee.
Honoring the bond between Bryant and Irving, a metaphorical passing of the torch comes to life with a snakeskin-inspired pattern fading into a Kyrie-inspired samurai pattern. The tongue features the new Kyrobe logo, fusing together Bryant and Irving’s signature logos.
Today, we have learned that Foot Locker locations will be receiving the sneaker. At first only SNRKS+ app would be the only way to purchase, so it’s great to know these will be more available.
