There is no secret that the Kobe 9 Elite is one of the best releases in 2014 and it’s like the gift that keeps on giving. Each week a new colorway is released, which provides another opportunity for some who weren’t able to cop the earlier releases.

This weekend, the Inspiration colorway is the featured release, but once again they are projected to sell out fast. Nike is promoting the release of the Inspiration colorway by holding an event at the Westfield Culver City Mall on March 1, 2014. Bryant will be in attendance and the Black Mamba will explain his inspiration behind the Kobe 9 Elite. The event starts at 12 PM, but it might be a good idea to arrive a few hours earlier.

The Inspiration colorway is inspired by Bryant’s commitment to the city of Los Angeles and he has honored that commitment by winning five championships and spending his entire career with the Lakers. However, his biggest inspiration now is to bring one more title to Los Angeles.
