History

In the 2009-2010 season, Kobe Bryant was coming off a fourth NBA Championship and looking to add a fifth to his collection. With the Lakers coming off so much momentum and a great looking team, it was no doubt that they were going to be title contenders once more. Bryant, who was 31 at the time was still hungry for more glory and during the regular season, you could tell that Bryant wanted it, averaging 27 points per game.

The Lakers and Bryant once again were in the playoffs and coasted there way into the NBA finals. They didn’t really have a playoff scare defeating teams like the Thunder, the Jazz, and the Suns. In the finals, the Lakers had to face a tough Celtics team that had once defeated the Lakers in the finals a couple of year prior to this season.

The Lakers were able to defeat the Boston Celtics in a grueling series that went to a game 7 and Kobe Bryant was able to add a fifth title to his collection and a second consecutive NBA Finals MVP Award. Kobe Bryant said that this championship was the most satisfying out of all of his championships because he did it against the Celtics.
