We already heard about Pharrell Williams signing a deal with Adidas earlier this year and we were promised that Summer 2014 we will get something from the collaborative efforts of both parties. Since the deal, we have seen many photos of Pharrell rocking many pairs of custom designed Stan Smiths with hand painted sayings and pictures. We have finally a preview of the collection in which they will be dropping and they don’t look like the customs he’s been wearing at all.
The Pharrell X Adidas collaboration takes a different turn than the customs he’s been spotted wearing. As of late, the monochromatic color schemes have switched into the full blown trend with the recent infatuation of the “Red October” Yeezy 2s or just the “Coke White” sneakers everyone has been applying to their summer outfits. No matter what the color is, everyone is now rocking monochromatic colored sneakers. The “Solids” Pack collection will feature three pairs of the Adidas Stan Smiths. They will be available in red, blue and black. The sneakers will feature a new Pharrell and Adidas Originals Logo on the tongue. The heel will feature a faded three stripes logo. As for the insole it will feature a multi-color polka dot print.
For each pair of kicks there is a matching Adidas leather track jacket. The prices for each pair of the sneakers will be $150 while the matching leather track jackets will have a $1000 price tag. The collection will be available this Saturday, September 20th at selected Adidas retailers.
