Nike Zoom Kobe VII Elite – Black/Metallic Gold-Dark Grey

So far this year, the Nike Zoom Kobe VII has been a rousing success and delivered unique and stylish colorways.  Nike has released two versions, a Supreme edition that comes with two interchangeable inserts and the basic model that only has the “Attack Fast” insert.

However, prior to the release of the Kobe VII, Nike stated another version would be released in time for the Playoffs. This Elite version of the Kobe VII would utilize superior materials and deliver over-the-top performance.  Coupled with a slew of other Kobe related announcements today, we finally got a look at the next iteration of the Kobe VII.

With half of the season already gone, we finally have a first glance at the third version of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, the Elite.  The Elite version features a brand new scale-like upper reminiscent to last year’s Kobe VI.  Hexagonal scales provide an awesome fit and outstanding durability. The heel cup is done in carbon fiber while the inner bootie will deliver a much more comfortable ride as it is made of a thicker foam padding.

Also, for the first time ever, the Kobe VII will feature a full-length Zoom Air cushioning system.  Described by Nike as “fully loaded”, this will provide a more lavish, comfortable, and responsive ride than most Zoom base shoes.  The Kobe VII Elite will also be packaged with a new box matching its black and gold colorway.

The Nike Zoom Kobe VII Elite in Black/Metallic Gold-Dark Grey drops on April 20, 2012 for $200.00 USD.

As always, we’ll keep you posted on any future updates and release info @kicksologists or on Facebook.
