Air Max Day 2018 is finally upon us and tonight’s festivities conclude at the Nike Air Gallery with Vince Staples making a guest appearance. If you still can make it out, be sure to check it before its gone!
March 26 has really become a date to look out for Kicksologists all over. In Los Angeles, Nike got the party started on Friday with the Air Max Gallery on 2270 Venice Blvd. It seemed like everyone had the Air Max 270s on feet.
Upon entering the pop-up installation, you’d step into the gallery first. Art from local and emerging artists inspired by the new Air Max 270 were on display. Work by Bijou Karman, Brandon Land, Dear Giana, Gabe Gault, Gianni Lee, and Meryl Pataky were displayed. Each artist was there mingling and speaking about the inspirations, their thought process, and what went into their piece.

Towards the back of the space, a gift shop handful of goodies were on sale. Nike Air branded notebooks, beach balls, Sharpies, markers, paint sets, stencils, coffee mugs, tee shirts and water bottles. Honestly, I knew I didn’t need a Nike Air beach ball but I wanted it so I copped one.
We then boarded the Air Bus and headed to the Los Feliz Theater for the premier of Errolson vs Errolson feat. John Mayer. The screening concluded with an on-stage Q&A with Acronym’s owner and designer, Errolson Hugh, the multi-talented, John Mayer, and Nike Deisgner, Johanna Schneider. They spoke on their relationship and why Acronym continues to push innovation and how that separates them from the field.
